In 2022, Mr. Kohn represented an Air Force Servicemember who sustained back and neck injuries from a rear-end vehicle collision. As a result of the injuries sustained from the collision, the client required back surgery on his lumbar spine and an artificial disc replacement on the L4-5 disc. A major component of the case was that the client had significant pre-existing neck and back complaints from his time in the Air Force. Despite the defense originally trying to lowball the settlement due to the client's pre-existing conditions, with the help of some legal magic, Mr. Kohn was able to force State Farm to increase its $25,000 offer to their $1,000,000 policy limit before trial. Despite his pre-existing condition, Mr. Kohn was able to get the settlement that the client deserved for the injuries he sustained from the accident.
